At search an early stage of the Family Guy series, people had never before seen animated comedy that poked fun at the real world so sharply as this. This episode really announced the show as a strong contender in the animated world, with the jokes really taken up a notch and a great storyline. Y2K happens, and the Griffins flee Quahog and attempt to start their own civilisation. Eventually it all goes wrong, and we get a glimpse of what Stewie would do if he had all the power he wanted as he tears apart the new town after mutating into an octopus. There are some brilliant gags here, and we get introduced to the Giant Chicken, Peter's nemesis, when the two get into their first ever fight, over an expired coupon.
