18. Stuck Together, Torn Apart

Boasting a fantastic subplot as well as a main one, this episode see's Brian and Stewie having their hands stuck together by industrial strength glue, while Lois meets and goes out with an old friend from school, leading to some extreme jealousy from Peter. As with most episodes that involve Brian and Stewie, there's a dose of cuteness but plenty of laughs as the two riff off each other. But this episode is most notable for Peter's acts of jealousy. First the flashback's of his behaviour in the past when threatened by another man, then his attempts to make Lois jealous by searching out old girlfriends of his own, plus hiring a prostitute. There's a fantastic moment when Lois criticises Peter's jealousy only for her husband to respond with "YOU KNOW WHAT MY PROBLEM IS? I LOVE TOO MUCH! DANCE THE DANCE OF LIFE!" and a great sight gag on the stereotype of police treating black people differently. There's plenty of physical comedy in the Brian/Stewie arc too, and some cringe-worthy behaviour from Peter on his date with Jennifer Love-Hewitt.
