12. Kimmy Meets A Drunk Lady - Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, in its second season, got weirder, funnier, and more emotional. It progressed the idea of a PTSD Kimmy, increased the joke-rate (and the varied kinds of jokes it told), and built towards an emotional reunion.
Like with many of these shows, it was hard to pick one, but the standout is Kimmy Meets A Drunk Lady, which gives us the joy of TIna Fey guest-starring in the show she created.
Unlike her guest spot in Season 1 (as a warped version of Marcia Clark), here she's crucial to the narrative and Kimmy's development - but also both hilarious and tragic, playing an alcoholic therapist who stumbles into Kimmy's Uber.
It's a superb comedy episode, with some truly laugh-out-loud moments, but also hits on deeper character notes as well (Fey's presence as a therapist really allows Kimmy to finally explore her past and current suffering), and marks the highpoint of another excellent season.
