Another common face on British TV, Danny Webb has appeared in the likes of Holby City, Midsomer Murders and Hustle - but one of this most memorable roles is surely when he teamed up with the Doctor to take on the Devil himself. Appearing in 2006 two parter The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit, Webb plays Mr Jefferson, one of a spacebase crew orbiting a black hole which they discover is home to a powerful entity that claims to be Satan. In Sherlock Series Two opener A Scandal In Belgravia, Webb can be seen as DI Carter, the detective who investigates the minor case of the mysterious dead man found in a field - which Sherlock solves from home in his bedsheet.
