20 Greatest Season Cliffhangers In TV History

10. Battlestar Galactica - Season 2 Finale (Lay Down Your Burdens Part 2)

Season one's cliffhanger had audiences with their jaws hanging open but the season two finale took it up a level and left everyone wondering how the last remnants of humanity were ever going to get out of this situation alive. The finale had already delivered a number of stunning twists as Baltar replaced Roslin as president and humanity had settled on a new planet, dubbed New Caprica. Jump forward a few months and viewers saw the heroes adjusting to the new life on the planet while a very chubby Lee Adama commanded the Pegasus with his father remained on Galactica. Suddenly Cylon base ships appeared out of nowhere, forcing both Battlestars to make a break for safety while the humans on the planet below were subjected to Cylon occupation. As Six and her human-Cylon companions boarded Caprica One the audiences wondered just how the show could find a satisfactory conclusion to season two's dramatic ending. The beauty of a good cliffhanger is seeing how it is resolved and the early run of season three of Battlestar Galactica episodes certainly delivered as this little video proves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7da3iwxMUjU
