15. The One With The Seven Sisters
We first meet Joey’s seven sisters in ‘The One Where Chandler Can’t Remember Which Sister’, the plot of which should be self-explanatory from the title.
There’s Dina, Gina and Tina, Mary-Therese and Mary-Angela, Veronica and Cookie. Obviously the world saw more of Gina and a new version of Mary-Therese in Joey: but as no one watched that show, ‘the world’ in this case isn’t a whole lot of people, so we can feel free to ignore whatever happened there.
Coming from a Catholic Italian-American family, the Tribbiani girls are fiery, passionate, occasionally violent and fiercely loyal… and woe betide you if you mess with them or anyone they care about. In Sisters Before Misters, we get a Friends spin-off with an almost completely female cast, providing a perspective seriously lacking in network situation comedy.
