20 Mind-Blowing Facts You Never Knew About Sons Of Anarchy

18. Stephen King's Pseudonym

Sons Of Anarchy has had its fare share of interesting guest appearances over the years. Charming has been the home to all sorts of brief visits, usually ending in either incarceration, violent death, or a combination of the two. The Californian town seemed to be a particular hub for aging rock stars, with hardcore punk singer Henry Rollins, Hole's Courtney Love, Marilyn Monroe and Dave Navarro from Jane's Addiction showing up. Then there was the time Stephen King popped in for a brief cameo. Yes, that Stephen King, iconic and bestselling horror writer of The Shining, Carrie and The Shawshank Redemption. Apparently the author is a big fan of the series, having given it several glowing write ups in his ongoing pop culture review column in Entertainment Weekly. King only dropped in for a very brief appearance for one episode of the third season, as a cleaner called Bachman. A name which has more history than you think, with Richard Bachman being a pseudonym Stephen King used early in his career to differentiate his more violent, sci-fi fare (The Running Man et al) from his more mainstream horror fare.
