Speaking of people who turned down roles, step up Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka. Remember the dysfunctional gay couple that wanted the baby in season one? Originally they were supposed to be played by married coupe Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka. Unfortunately, the pair turned down the role as theyd already played a couple who hated each other in A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas and Harris didnt want to repeat it so soon. It wasnt all bad though because it led to Zachary Quinto being cast in one half of the role, which isnt too bad a replacement is it? Also, the duo are set to appear in the fourth season of Freak Show, so alls well that ends well.
