20 Mind-Blowing Facts You Never Knew About Arrow

2. There Is A Wider Universe

Ever since Samuel L Jackson popped up at the end of Iron Man and told Robert Downey Junior that he wasn€™t the only hero out there, studios have been trying to set up their own shared universes. Arrow is no exception to this, with The Flash obviously existing in the same universe, and a rumoured Supergirl spin off potentially joining them. TNT have commissioned a Teen Titans pilot featuring Nightwing, which is being rumoured to exist in Arrow€™s universe as well, but there is already a deeply woven and rich history to Arrow's continuity. Prior to the show€™s premier, limited edition comic books were given to visitors at San Diego Comic-Con. This comic takes place within the shows continuity, so it introduced fans to the character before the show had made its debute on The CW. Season Two of Arrow ended on a spectacular cliff-hanger, with Detective Lance collapsing and Starling City being ransacked by Deathstroke€™s menacing army. The Arrow: Season 2.5 digital comic answered many of the biggest questions lingering on the lips of fans after this finale, and it introduced characters who would later show up in the third season. The comic book tie in allows for explosive scenes as there are no constraints, and it allows the studio to enhance characters without distracting from the show. If you can€™t get enough of Starling City€™s hero, it is worth checking out these comics so that you can get your fix of the hooded hero while he is away from the small screen.
