20 Netflix Original Series You Must Binge-Watch In 2019

1. Stranger Things

Over the course of two seasons, Stranger Things has become perhaps Netflix's biggest and buzziest original series - so it's a good job that it also happens to be one of its very best as well.

Season 2 was just as great, if not even better, than Season 1, nicely developing all of its key characters and turning in a more layered story, while still keeping the charm of the kids and 80s trappings very much intact.

Season 3 should continue that, not only by further pushing Eleven, Mike, Dustin et al forward in new ways, but tapping into more horror elements, with the likes of George A. Romero, David Cronenberg, and John Carpenter's The Thing cited as major influences on the upcoming run. Combine with that the fact it's returning to a summer release, and indeed a summer setting in-universe, and still has lots of unanswered questions about the Upside Down to further explore, and there's a lot to be excited about here. But mostly, it's the bond between Dustin and Steve, obviously.
