16. Tuca & Bertie

If Tuca & Bertie looks a bit familiar, that's because the show comes from Lisa Hanawalt, producer and production designer on BoJack Horseman.

BoJack creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg is also onboard as an executive producer, but this isn't simply a carbon copy of Netflix's best original series. Tuca & Bertie will centre on Tuca, a care-free and cocky toucan, and Bertie, an anxious, daydreaming songbird, exploring their friendship and lives as they navigate living together.

Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong will star as the titular twosome, and if it can borrow some of BoJack's comedy genius and ability to wring pathos out of absurdity, while doing its own thing - the fact its centred on a female friendship, rather than one lonely male character, already suggests that is the case - then this could be really great.
