14. Raising Dion

Another comic book adaptation on Netflix's slate, although it's a far cry from the usual Marvel fare. A take on Dennis Liu's independent comic of the same name, this is every bit as much a family drama as it is a superpowered tale.

Raising Dion focuses on Nicole who, after the death of her husband, is left to raise their son alone - a hard enough task at the best of times, but then Dion begins to exhibit strange superpowers, which lead to outside forces looking to use him for their own gain

Alisha Wainwright and Ja'Siah Young star as Nicole and Dion, while Michael B. Jordan will appear as Nicole's late husband, in what should be a unique spin on the superhero genre.
