9. Three Birthdays? You're Taking The Michael!
Her Majesty The Queen has two birthdays. The King of escaping prison has three? Well, not quite. The show had it's fair share of plot and continuity issues. This one (or three) is a classic example.
In the pilot, Scofield noted down 9th August 1978 as his date of birth. However, his brother, Lincoln, would contradict this later, revealing that Michael was in fact two years older than stated. Thus, making Michael's birth date 9th August 1976.
However, in the Season Four finale, Michael's gravestone (pictured) reads 10th August 1974. Four years older and a day younger than originally written.
Did Scofield have concerns about his age? Was he trying to mess with the system somehow? Did he just make a mistake? Chances are it was the fault of the writer's more than anything.
