20 TV Episodes That Are Totally Flawless

3. Ozymandias - Breaking Bad

The Sopranos
AMC

If we're talking about perfect TV, then Breaking Bad's Ozymandias has to enter the conversation.

Often regarded as one of the greatest hours of dramatic TV ever made - as well as the best episode of Vince Gilligan's transformative crime drama - Ozymandias is a point-of-no-return episode in a show with many, signalling the final end of Walt White's tyrannical rule as meth kingpin Heisenberg, and sealing his fate without ambiguity.

Throughout the episode, Walt is dangerously close to losing his life, but in the end it's not the meth cook who falls to his new foes, but the very person who's been trying to stop him for five seasons of deception and betrayal.

Every scene holds a new twist, and each twist is more devastating and cruel than the last. Every part of it is haunting, and as a whole the episode represents everything the previous fifty-odd hours of drama had been building toward.
