20 TV Villain Performances That Are Practically Flawless

6. Vincent D'Onofrio - Wilson Fisk (Daredevil)

Hannibal Lecter Mads
Netflix

There are no Marvel villains quite like Wilson Fisk, A.K.A the Kingpin of Crime. Mountainous and unwavering in his work, his shy and deeply vulnerable complexities set him apart from the usual MCU antagonists our favourite heroes typically face.

As played by the never-better Vincent D'Onofrio, Fisk suffers from acute social anxiety, preferring to stay clear of large crowds and keep to himself when he's not working.

Under these endearing traits, D'Onofrio doesn't shy away from Fisk's darkness, unleashing the crime lord's rage and violent aggression without seeming over-the-top. The way in which he balances Fisk's shyness with his anger is impeccable.

Given the complex contradictions of the man and D'Onofrio's at once tragic, quiet and booming performance, it'll be a shame if the MCU doesn't use Fisk more down the line. Fingers crossed.
