20. Lord Janos Loses His Head
It's reasonable to assume that there isn't a single person who watches Game Of Thrones who has any love for Lord Janos Slynt - the cowardly, pant-wetting former Commander of the City Watch of King's Landing is one of the most loathed minor characters from all five seasons. Regardless of his popularity, his beheading for insubordination at the hands of Jon Snow was certainly one of those "well that escalated quickly!" moments - having become so familiar with Janos answering back and generally being an objectionable and arrogant man, Snow's swift decision to deliver some harsh justice seemed out of the blue. Stannis Baratheon's nod of approval from the sidelines suggested that Jon Snow has learned a few more things about leadership since becoming Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.
