21 Problems Only Friends Fans Will Understand

8. Trying To Find The Friends Building

NBC

New York is the home of Friends, even though the show was mostly filmed on the complete opposite side of the country. So, if you visit the Big Apple, chances are you're wanting to spot something from the series. Once you realise that Central Perk doesn't actually exist, the next point of interest is the Friends building, used for exterior shots of Monica's apartment.

Unlike a lot of the major tourist attractions (of which this should certainly be considered), it's a little tricky to find. It's off the beaten path, tucked way in Greenwich Village on the corner of Grove and Bedford.

Obviously it's worth the pilgrimage, and when you find the instantly recognisable building you'll discover a group of like-minded fans outside it, with the corner opposite being the best spot to take pictures from. Pro tip: don't try and climb the fire escape. It won't go well.
