The Flash Season 2: 21 WTF Moments From 'Flash Of Two Worlds'

17. The Multiverse

Having seen the term thrown around in the build-up to Season 2, Flash of Two Worlds saw the first use of the term €˜Multiverse€™. In the comic book world, DC€™s Multiverse is basically a way of having several different worlds, all with slightly altered timelines and events, existing at the same time. It was Victor Garber€™s Martin Stein who coined the phrase, and it€™s certainly one that we€™ll be hearing a lot of as The Flash moves forward. Dr. Stein then proceeded to again put a smile on the face of many a comic book fan as he explains the existence of Earth-One and Earth-Two amongst other all of these alternative realities. With the confirmed existence of these other Earths, the show has literally opened up countless opportunities in terms of plot arcs and characters that can be used and explored in Season 2 and beyond.
