Beginning with its penultimate seventh season, the show was set elsewhere in the United States with the seventh set in Washington DC and the final eighth season set in New York City. When the series ended in 2010, Jack Bauer was branded a terrorist for the attempt on series long baddie Russian President Yuri Suvarov's life, and was forced to flee the country he saved time and time again. With that, the news of a movie and/or miniseries could only mean that the show was going to go overseas from America, and indeed it is. One of the first tidbits of information to come out about this new season is that it will be set in none other than London.
