16. Kurtwood Smith
In retrospect, the eighties were a strange decade in terms of fashion, music, toys/games and a whole host of other things. Aside from the likes of hair metal and Rubix cubes, however, the masses also developed an appreciation for an assortment of great films, ranging from the teen dramas of John Hughes to gritty (and often very over the top) action films. Kurtwood Smith popped up in a number of such iconic films (and TV shows such as 21 Jump Street) during the era, most notably playing the despicable Clarence Boddicker in the original RoboCop (which is vastly superior to the recent reimagining). A handful of sci-fi roles followed in the 90s, until the actor took on the role of Red Forman on That 70s Show for eight years. In 24's seventh season, Smith is introduced almost immediately as Blaine Meyer, the Senator investigating Jack Bauer as part of a wider investigation into the activities of CTU as a whole. Initially coming across as a jobsworth, he becomes a slightly more sympathetic character as time goes by, most notably before his demise.
15. Nancy Cartwright
Though it's a well-known fact amongst animation enthusiasts, many people to this day are still somewhat surprised when they discover that animated young male characters (such as Ash Ketchum from Pokemon) are often voiced by women. Perhaps the most iconic, however, is Bart Simpson, who has been voiced by Nancy Cartwright since the The Simpsons' inception many years ago. Though she and her fellow voice actors now earn several hundred thousand dollars per episode of work, they do occasionally dabble in live action, though as a result of being known for their vocal chords and not their faces, they usually go unrecognised. Cartwright, who also voices other adolescent males on the show, doesn't physically show up on screen anyway near as much as the likes of Hank Azaria do, though she did show up in 24's sixth season, playing Morris O'Brian's sponsor from Alcoholics Anonymous, Jeannie Tyler.
