24 People You Didn't Know Were In 24

10. Kevin Dillon

Kevindillon1 The younger brother of Matt Dillon, Kevin Dillon is another individual who had supporting roles in a handful of notable films in the late eighties and early nineties before drifting into obscurity for several years. These include Platoon, where he played the psychotic Bunny, and The Doors, where he played drummer John Densmore. Both were directed by Oliver Stone. In recent years, however, he has become known less at Matt Dillon's brother and more as the Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated portrayer of Johnny 'Drama' Chase, one of the many great characters featured in Entourage, the HBO show about a Hollywood actor and his associates. Though it's a part that Z-list actor Drama probably would've killed for, the role of Lonnie McRae in season two of 24 probably isn't amongst Dillon's career highlights, however, as it was part of the godawful and much maligned storyline involving Kim Bauer being chased by a cougar and rescued by a survivalist (him), who then attempts to convince her that nuclear apocalypse has occurred because he is lonely...

9. Jurgen Prochnow

Jurgenprochnow1 Das Boot is perhaps the most well-known German film of all time, regardless of how many people have become aware of Der Untergang (Downfall) as a result of the countless parody videos that have been uploaded to YouTube over the years. Running at around between two and a half and almost five hours depending on the cut, Wolfgang Peterson's World War II epic focuses on a war correspondent assigned to a German U-Boat, which is skippered by Jurgen Prochnow's nameless captain (referred to only by his title). The role earned Prochnow a significant deal of attention Stateside, and within a few years he was cast as both Duke Leto Atreides in David Lynch's adaptation of Dune and the villainous Maxwell Dent in Beverly Hills Cop II, as well as considered for the role of The Terminator (interestingly, he would play the role's eventual portrayer, Arnold Schwarzenegger, in a film about the Austrian's political career). A strong grasp of the English language and working relationships with directors have seen him cast in a number of other notable films over the years, including Air Force One and the Da Vinci Code. For 24's eighth season, the German was called upon to play a Ukrainian criminal named Sergei Bazhaev, who facilitates the sale of nuclear fuel rods to the season's villains, witnessing the death of both of his sons and briefly assisting Jack Bauer before being arrested.
