One of the biggest casualties in the wake of Gemma's lie about who killed Tara, Lin didn't deserve to have his world destroyed and his life ultimately taken. For most of the series' run, Lin had been a pretty reasonable guy, rarely a minor thorn in the club's side and an ally. Though that changed in season six thanks to Galen O'Shay's actions, by the start of the final season Lin seemed willing to move past it with the Sons and back onto solid ground. Unfortunately for Lin, Jax -- driven by a desire for revenge against him under the false assumption he ordered Tara's murder -- systematically attempted to take everything from him by killing his men, stealing his drugs and getting him locked up, escalating the level of violence and retaliation along the way. With Juice murdering him in prison soon before Jax found out the truth, Lin paid the price for a crime he never committed and turned one of the club's older allies in the series into yet another ghost.
