7. Tommen's Suicide - Game Of Thrones
In the sixth season fibale, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) has the Great Sept of Baelor destroyed by wildfire, which results in the death of Tommen's (Dean-Charles Chapman) wife Margaery (Natalie Dormer).
The combined knowledge of his wife's demise, the destruction of the Faith and his mother's hand in both causes Tomen to remove his crown and take a dive off the Red Keep to his death.
It's a highly disturbing scene because it's so sudden and without hesitation, all the more so considering that Tommen was one of the show's more innocent and unlucky characters, thrust into a position he seemed ill-equipped for and paying the ultimate price for it. Horrific.
