SNL's Haunted Elevator sketch sees a couple (Beck Bennett and Kate McKinnon) taking a ride through 100 floors of supposedly scary sights, only to be repeatedly met by David S. Pumpkins (Tom Hanks), an oddly-accented man wearing a tacky pumpkin suit and accompanied by two guys in skeleton suits who dance at every opportunity they get.

The sketch itself is more bizarre than funny, but there's definitely an entertainment factor to the sheer dissonance of seeing Hanks make a fairly prominent cameo so unexpectedly. The final jump scare, where he appears behind the couple, is the clincher.

It's not the height of clever comedy by any means, but basically re-affirms that Tom Hanks is probably the most likable person working in Hollywood.
