Who: Steven Levenson (showrunner); Sam Rockwell, Michelle Williams

What: An eight-part miniseries on the romantic and creative partnership of Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon. The former was one of theatre's most influential choreographers and directors, the latter regarded as the greatest Broadway dancer of all time.

Why: Fosse and Verdon changed musical history - and American entertainment as a whole, really - with their work, and the series is going to attempt to showcase that alongside the pain caused by the pursuit of greatness. That's the making of a great story, as recently seen in the movie musical world with La La Land, and it's helped by having two of cinema's current finest actors as the leads. To further help its Broadway bonafides, Dear Evan Hansen's Steven Levenson is showrunner, Hamilton director Tony Kali is directing, and Lin-Manuel Miranda is serving as executive producer. Oh, and the trailer looks awesome.

Where & When: FX, April.
