25 New And Returning TV Shows To Watch This Summer

Created by Guillermo del Toro, The Strain begins as a deadly virus emerges that threatens to turn its victims into vampires. It's an interesting little horror show based on the comic book series of the same name, and it stars Corey Stoll, David Bradley, Mía Maestro and Kevin Durand. 

The trailer for the second season teases a war coming to New York City between our characters and The Master, the main villain of the series responsible for the virus and who is one of seven ancient vampires. That trailer also teases the introduction of Counselwoman Feraldo, a new character who promises to "take back this island one block at a time." Let's see how that works out for her.

The Strain returns on FX on July 12.
