Showing: February 8th How could it be anything else? Ever since Breaking Bad ended, there's been an almighty hole in the TV watching universe, which will never be satiated until someone definitively answers whether Walter White is dead or not, and whether he's going to come back at some point. Of course romanticism says that not confirming makes it all the more better, but that's not really how fandom works, and as long as there's hope, there's a chance. But until that happens, at least there's a rather wonderful little distraction in the shape of Better Call Saul - the smartest spin-off decision since Frasier swapped Boston for Seattle. It should be just as good as Breaking Bad, but in a different way, and the opportunity to see more of Saul is a big draw in itself not to mention the appeal of seeing him actually strutting his stuff in a court room. And the episodic introduction to other criminals is going to be a great touch. And then of course there's the return of Mike Ehrmantraut (at least briefly), which will keep Breaking Bad fans coming back even if Saul doesn't. The Selling Point: He's a great character, and a great performance, and Frasier unthinkably went on to arguably outshine Cheers when given the opportunity. The Concerns: Joey didn't exactly out-perform Friends, and he was their best character. But then, you get the sense that if anyone can, Saul can.
