5. Thank Goodness It Was Made Into A Television Series
Originally, Mark Schwan created a screenplay that saw One Tree Hill, the television series, as being one feature length film called Ravens. It took producers four years to convince him to turn it into the television show that you know and love. The title, One Tree Hill, was inspired by the U2 album The Joshua Tree which features the song One Tree Hill. Chad Michael Murray was the first one cast in the show but argued with Schwan to play Lucas as he was intended to play Nathan instead. Sophia Bush who plays Brooke Davis had to audition three times because she was firstly told that she wasn't sexy enough to play Brooke and on her second attempt she was too sexy. Who in their right mind would say that Sophia Bush wasn't attractive?
