28 Hottest New TV Shows Currently In Production

24. Shades Of Blue (2015-16)

Jennifer Lopez may be 45 but NBC have enough confidence in her name drawing in audiences that they have skipped the pilot stage and gone straight for a 13-episode series of "Shades of Blue". This cop show will centre on Harlee McCord (Lopez) as a single mother and police officer who is called in to work undercover for the FBI's anti-corruption team. Faced with a dilemma of choosing between her new protected life or ratting on her corrupt police brothers, she will face trial and tribulations. The Selling Point: Cop shows almost always seem to go well - so why should this be any different? The Concerns: Some of Lopez's most-recent acting performances have been shaky at best, so pulling off a delicate role like this may just be a little too much for her.

23. Scream Queens (September 2015)

"Glee" creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan have reunited with actor Lea Michele for this horror-comedy anthology series to be shown on Fox. A series of murders at Wallace University sees the re-emergence of the "Red Devil" on the 20th anniversary of a horrendous crime - and all because of a sorority pledge in 1995. Spread over 15 episodes, the girls from the sorority are stalked by a sadistic killer - with deadly consequences. The Selling Point: Murder galore - coupled with the brilliant Jamie Lee Curtis - should make this instantly watchable. The Concerns: Can this storyline really stay strong for 15 episodes, or will several of them just be "fillers" and dilute the plotline?
