Having arrived too late to get in on the action at the Sioux Falls massacre, Mike Milligan and the ever present, ever loyal Kitchen brother head over to the Gerhardt range to claim their spoils. Mike also decides to claim his crown in the process, seeing himself as the legitimate heir to the Gerhardt empire. His act of kindness as new ruler is to spare the old lady in the kitchen and give her a car and cash. His act of cruelty? Allowing the Kitchen brother to shoot one of the Gerhardt's associates in the chest and watch him die a slow and painful death.
