This may seem like cheating since Jenny and Abbie are sisters. Yet, if pop culture and real life has taught us anything, it's that siblings often have to work at being friends with one another. As estranged sisters with plenty of baggage, Jenny and Abbie have yet to truly consider one another a friend so far in the first season. Yet, they are obviously trying. While Jenny feels betrayed by Abbie's abandonment as children, Abbie feels reluctantly responsible for her troubled sister. Who knew that it would take a resurrected 18th century Englishman and the Apocalypse to bring them back in one another's lives? In only a few episodes, we've already seen the two women grow from pointing guns at one another to working together as a team against the threat of the Headless Horseman. Abbie needs Jenny's cunning worldliness and Jenny simply needs Abbie's stability. We even see Jenny move beyond her anger at her sister and offer to host Thanksgiving in an effort to get closer to being friends rather than relatives. There have been awesome and moving moments where the two women simply sit back and really look at one another and actually like what they see. Sleepy Hollow has given us a chance to see how a tentative friendship between sisters can grow and become rewarding for both the sisters and the audience.
