Not that he can remember that as he's been corrupted by power and magic for so long he doesn't know who he really is. One day he approaches Marceline for help writing a song to attract Princesses but can't quite understand what her problem is with him. Eventually Marceline the Vampire reveals that as a girl when she had been abandoned by her Father she was picked up and looked after by a friendly fellow named Simon. It quickly becomes apparent that Simon and the Ice King are one and the same and the pair eventually write an epic track with lyrics provided by the letters Simon wrote to Marceline all those years ago. If you actually listen to the song it's actually pretty intense with some really moving lyrics. Sure the idea is completely bonkers but what else have we come to expect from Adventure Time?
