5 Best The Walking Dead Season Finales
Take a 'Walker' down memory lane with these great Walking Dead Season Finales!
Fans of long-running post apocalyptic drama The Walking Dead were recently disappointed by the news that, due to guidelines put in place to fend off the current global situation, the finale of the currently airing tenth season would be delayed, and is now set to air as a special later in the year.
While some fans are understandably upset about the wait, others are using the earlier than expected break as an opportunity to revisit the series from the very beginning. And, it has to be said, a few seasons of the show build to rather epic finales.
As we wait for the Season 10 finale to arrive, let's take a look back at some of the best The Walking Dead finales from seasons past.
5. 'The Storm', Season 9
Still grieving Alpha's victims, and with a terrible storm approaching, representatives from the other communities set off to help the displaced residents of The Kingdom relocate to the safety of Hilltop before Winter fully sets in.
Unfortunately, as the weather worsens faster than expected, the group realises that the only way to reach Hilltop in time is to take a risky detour through Whisperer territory. Things aren't going much better in Alexandria, as Judith Grimes disappears into the storm in search of Daryl's Dog.
While a little quieter than the average Walking Dead finale, it worked for what it was trying to do. Though they don't appear until the closing moments, the threat of the Whisperers hangs as a shadow over the survivors for most of the episode. Negan fans enjoyed the episode for the first real glimmer of the character's redemption, risking his own life to save Judith during the storm.
