5 Fall TV Shows That Are Doomed To Fail

1. Marvel's Inhumans

Marvel’s latest series feels like it’s aiming to be its last series. If so, mission accomplished. If not, watch any of the Mission Accomplished movies, instead of wasting your energy sitting through this two-hour pilot. Oh wait, you saw it and hated it on IMAX already? Well, it will look better on the small screen, right? Or on your phone? Or your watch? Oh who are we kidding, there is no device small enough to hide the fact that this thing is a major mess.

The highly anticipated television is based on the fan-favorite comic book series about The Inhumans, a race of superhumans with unique powers that explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family. Perhaps the never-before-told should be more of a ‘never should have told’.

When the only nice thing you can say about a show is that it features a teleporting CG dog named Lockjaw, then maybe you shouldn’t say anything at all. Nah, that’s no fun. The writing is wonky, the acting is stiff, the costumes are cheap, and the editing is terrible.

Attempts at generating buzz by showing the first two episodes in theatres have backfired - The Guardian say it is "destined to be the TV disaster of the year" - and have given this show a certain death sentence.

Do you think these shows will fail or succeed? Any others that are doomed? Let us know down in the comments.
