Star Wars: The Force Awakens Role - First Order Petty Officer Thanisson

Thomas Brodie-Sangster really has gotten around the world of film and television over the last decade or so, even if his name and face aren't instantly recognisable to the average viewer.

Having first appeared as Liam Neeson's drumming stepson in Love Actually, he came to Game of Thrones by way of a Disney Channel series and a couple of episodes of Doctor Who, amongst other projects. Playing the role of Jojen Reed, he and his sister Meera showed up out of the blue at the beginning of season three to begin supporting Bran Stark's understanding of his supernatural abilities, having initially been feared cut following their absence from season two.

Jojen bit the bullet during the season four finale, falling to a group of wights as his group seek out the three-eyed raven that can develop Bran's abilities further. His death was ahead of his book counterpart, who remains alive as of the Winds of Winter (albeit in questionable condition).

In The Force Awakens, Brodie-Sangster was one of the many officers onboard Kylo Ren's ship, the Finalizer, following the events of the Battle of Jakku that initially set the film in motion. He gets a few lines, being the one to report the theft of a TIE fighter by Finn and Poe Dameron, but disappears thereafter.
