Though the inside of Alan's mind is truly a terrifying place (remember those lap-dancing nightmares?), beyond his obvious neuroses and shocking self-delusion is a truly impressive level of motivation and perseverance. Alan never gives up. He may have fallen dramatically from grace, but he's still on the radio. It's also worth pointing out that, to date, he's written two books. Even though he at some points resorted to copying and pasting from Wikipedia whilst writing his autobiography, writing books is hard. If Alan can do it, anybody can. Similarly, if Alan can drop so many pounds in such a short span of time in the wake of his Toblerone binge, anyone can. Finally, if Alan can continue to do what he loves with a smile on his face even after his every dream has been shattered one by one, then anyone can. Alan's life is a joke, and a lot of the time he expertly demonstrates how not to do things. However, in bouncing back and finding enough things to keep him going through the hard times, he could act as an inspiration to anyone currently languishing in a rough patch. Thanks, Alan.
A melodramatic hippie goth who takes life far too seriously.
