4. Catweazle (Catweazle)Catweazle
was a show about the titular character - an eccentric 11th century wizard who accidentally travels through time to the year 1969 (which could obviously be changed tocurrent times in a potential modernisation). He befriends a young boy (named 'Carrot') who hides him away from the world as Catweazle attempts to find his way back to his own time. Catweazle finds himself completely befuddled with modern technology - which he mistakes for magic - and is particularly confused by 'elec-trickery' (electricity) and the 'telling bone' (the telephone). So imagine, if you will, that Catweazle is in fact a mentally disturbed homeless man - not a wizard from the 11th century at all, just someone who thinks
that's who he is due to insanity - who befriends a child in order to gain access to his family, whom he intends to brutally murder. Catweazle looks pretty disturbing and I think the word 'Catweazle' works well as a rather creepy horror title. I know I wouldn't want that guy chasing me with a hatchet, put it that way.
