Id never heard of Boohbah before researching this article, but this is officially the most disturbing childrens show I have seen in my entire life. I simply cant explain it. Whatever drugs The Teletubbies were on is nothing compared to the hardcore stuff these guys have managed to get their hands on! Im not sure what the creators were thinking when they put this together; did someone just suggest you know what, I think kids need to get a glimpse of what life looks like on acid? Ive never taken drugs and dont condone it, but this to me is what I imagine an acid trip would look liketerrifying, colourful and just completely nonsensical. I havent got a clue what those characters are meant to be either, they look like some sort of disturbing offspring of the old Npower energy Orbs and the aliens from the Argos advert. Boy can they dance though Im sure and expect many of you have memories of more TV shows that disturbed you whilst growing up, maybe you were traumatised by Animals of Farthing Wood, creeped out by Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids or couldnt get your head around the weird Frankenstein like creation that is Catdog?
