5 Reasons Why Homeland Is Failing
Failing is a loaded term, but one that seems to be more and more apt for describing the gradually declining Homeland; a show that has had two rollercoaster seasons, the former of which was one hell of a climb before the latter was the arms-waving pace-change we needed. Yet here at season 3, we appear to be struggling to get going again. It could be due to a variety of things, one of which may be that for the first time in a while we have a show with Game of Thrones-sized stones that refuses to compromise on its vision for the sake of accessibility, however week after week there are more and more elements that appear incongruous to whats gone before, bringing about a change in direction for characters we thought we knew amidst an overall plot structure that lacks any semblance of drive. Spoilers will follow for the first two seasons, and the first three episodes of season 3.
