3. Lin Bei Fong Finally Becomes A Major Character
Lin was perhaps one of the best characters in Book One of LOK with her unwavering sense of justice, no nonsense attitude and her solid backbone. However, much to the fans disappointment, she was, much like Asami, largely written off in the second book. The creators of the show have said that Lin will play a much larger part in the next installment. Now, we can finally see the full scope of what that means. Given the previously mentioned look that Lin gives towards the metal city, in addition to the presence of a young Lin, it seems that many of the skeletons in Lins closet will come to the surface. The younger looking Lin appears to the chief of police in a flashback, although the flashback itself looks much more organic than the spirit induced flashbacks that Korra has in Book One. Flashbacks or no, the focus on Lin could reveal more about what happened to her mother, Toph, after the events of ATLA.
