5 Things We Want To See in Game of Thrones Season 3
Season 2's penultimate episode "Blackwater" is widely considered the best episode of the season, if not the entire show. One of the main reasons for this is that it abandoned the usual 'a few minutes with each character' format, giving us an hour focused entirely on single encounter with one group of characters. It gave the Battle of Blackwater Bay, one of the most pivotal moments in the story so far, the depth and attention it deserved. Series creator George RR Martin also happened to be the script writer for the episode, making sure that it was an expertly executed episode.
With many more important battles and moments set to happen in the near future, these single setting centred episodes could be the key to make sure fans don't get lost in the ever expanding cast. Combining this focus with the aforementioned extra episodes per season could push Game of Thrones to another level.
