5 Ways To Make The Walking Dead Spin-Off Series Work

1. Make The Zombies More Intriguing

To keep things fresh, we have seen filmmakers change up their zombies by having them run, learn and adapt to their surroundings. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it becomes House of the Dead. The Walking Dead spin-off doesn't need to feature zombies that can rebuild an engine or do needlepoint, but should be something more than a groaning thing hanging from the chain link fence that the characters yawningly impale with a piece of rebar. World War Z did have one neat idea by having the zombies behave with an instinctive "colony" mentality when doing something like getting over a wall to procure a snack. With the aforementioned new perspective, maybe we can get a little more insight into the walkers themselves and the extent of their capabilities individually and/or as a swarm. What do you all think? How can AMC ensure success with The Walking Dead spin-off?
