6 Reasons To Be Excited About Vikings Series 2

4. The Religious Elements Are Well Handled

Vikings History Edited 2 The History Channel is well known for its Christian bias, so I was surprised when instead of converting everybody, Aethelstan, the Christian monk, started to have doubts. In one especially cool scene the Viking characters scoff at Genesis and tell him their own Creation myth, which mainly involves things being created from the body parts of a dismembered giant. Aethelstan concedes that this is indeed more impressive than Genesis (apparently vikings aren€™t big on creatio ex nihilo), although he might have been less intimidated if they€™d left in the bit about creation being licked out of the ice by a giant cow.
