1. Ruby Rose's Departure From Batwoman

It seemed like Batwoman had turned a corner in the back half of its debut season, as critics and fans began to see all of its potential finally being realised - so much so that not even a truncated first season could stamp out excitement for the second. And then, less than two days after the finale aired, it was announced that Ruby Rose would be leaving the show.

Rose's initial casting as the Scarlet Knight was something of a divisive move, but a huge one for The CW - and, over time, she proved herself to be both a formidable Batwoman and a solid Kate Kane. In spite of everything, she led the show really well and looked incredible in the Batsuit.

Given that the show was really in the process of nailing it, this is a considerable blow that it could have done without because it's hard to imagine anyone other than Rose playing that role.

Now, for the positives...
