1. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau - Game Of Thrones
This one truly shocked me. Jaime Lannister is a perfect example of outstanding character development. Whether you hated him or loved him in the beginning of the show, its hard to believe you dont feel the polar-opposite now. Coster-Waldau wasnt seen much in season two, but made up for it this past season. We follow Jaime and Brienne as they make their way back to Kings Landing when an array of complications rear their nasty heads. Coster-Waldaus performance ranges from hate him to want to brew him a cup of tea and make all of his pain go away. It wasnt just the resounding scene where his hand was sliced off, or when he shared a tub with Brienne and told her the whole story behind his nick name The King Slayer, or when he turned around to save Brienne from a pit fight with a bear, but it was the whole season. Thanks to Coster-Waldaus performance, Game of Thrones rebounded from a weaker second season follow up (that first season was a tough act to follow though). Red Wedding aside, the most interesting aspect of this season was always Jaime.
