1. Andrea
Our final selection isnt much of a surprise, if youve ever tried to have conversations with people online about The Walking Dead. For most of the first three years, and especially throughout season three after Loris death, one name continually came up as the most detested character on the show and this is during a season where a murdering sociopath featured as the new antagonist. That's right, it's Andrea. Part of the problem came with her stupidity, coupled with her constant insistence that she was in the right. After all, theres nothing more irritating than a dumb person who thinks theyre smart. She sided with Shane in season two, even though his unstable nature was obvious to everyone else. Come season three, Andrea had been separated from her friends and spent the next few months battling for survival, helped almost entirely by Michonne, who took her under her wing. The show leaves us in now doubt that Andrea would never have lived through the long winter without her new friend. Andrea was then to join Woodbury and completely fall for the Governors charms and his many, many lies, despite Michonnes assertion that Blake couldnt be trusted, and even after he aligned himself against Michonne and her old friends. We saw her, time and again, attempt to broker some form of peace between Woodbury and the prison, despite the many signs and indications that Blake was at least a liar and at worst an utter lunatic - even to the extent of abandoning Michonne, the person who'd kept her alive all winter. Producers finally realised that Andrea had to go towards the finale of season three, and gave her one of the shows most memorable deaths, strapped in a chair while her friend gradually died in front of her, only for him to reanimate and bite her. It was a good way to go out: but audiences loathed her so much, they would probably have preferred something a little more bloodthirsty.
