7 Life Lessons Orange Is The New Black Season 2 Taught Me

1. Karma Will Get You

NetflixNetflixTruly one of life's integral lessons is that karma does exist. If you're a naughty person, it will catch up with you. Whether it's due to some unknown force or destiny is unknown, but somehow everything balances out in the end. From the moment Vee stepped into scene it was obvious that she was trouble. Not only had she been the one to lead Tastee astray from a young age, but she also had history within the prison itself. She walked in like she owned the place, probably because she believed that she did. Of all the Orange is the New Black characters Vee is the one who is least human. There is not a mere slice of humanity in that woman - she is just cold. It was obvious that she'd be trouble. Her sins are numerous. The moment when she attacked Red was horrific. Let's for a minute pretend Red hadn't tried to strangle her first and focus on the sheer barbarity of it. She is unyielding in her attack, lashing out again and again. This is the moment when you know she deserves payback and, thankfully, she gets it. In the final scene of season two Vee has escaped Litchfield. She appears on the road in front of the truck cancer patient Rosa, who has also escaped, is driving. In that moment the whole audience prays that Rosa swerves to hit her and, as luck would have it, she does. There is something really satisfying about the sound of the vehicle hitting her too. This is the most important lesson of season two, as it is the one you should always take with you. If you do bad things, karma will get you. Don't go bashing people in the head, because you will probably get hit by a truck. Like this article? Let us know in the comments section below.
