7 Problems With Netflix Nobody Wants To Admit

2. It's Impossible To Find Anything

I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore
Netflix

Another Netflix scene: you've got a bit of spare time on your hands, perhaps at the end of the day before you go to bed, and fancy watching some TV or a movie. So you load up Netflix but you're not quite sure what you're after, so you scroll... and you scroll... and as the minutes turn to hours, to days, to weeks and months and the seasons begin to change, your hair grows unkempt and your body wastes away, still you haven't found anything.

The Netflix interface is great if you want to watch a Netflix original, which are all right there for you, or continue watching something (though even then that particular bar can and does move around, so it's not always where you expect it to be). But unless you know exactly what it is you're going for - and that it's definitely on Netflix - the time you've actually got to watch something will disappear before you've even seen the opening credits.

NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far. A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
