7 Reasons Why Entourage Needs To Return

3. Impact Of The Me Too Movement

As earlier mentioned, since Entourage ended in 2011, Hollywood has changed dramatically. The Time's Up and Me Too movement has implicated some of the biggest names in stage and screen, perhaps the biggest of them all being Harvey Weinstein.

However, in the world of Entourage, the character of Harvey Weingard was a not-so-subtle reference to the former-Hollywood mega-producer. The arrogant, ill-tempered, abrasive demeanour of Weingard makes you wonder whether this was Entourage trying to highlight the abusive real-life nature of Weinstein.

The show never shied away from pulling punches at celebrity culture and individuals, and this was a clear body blow aimed directly at the Hollywood heavyweight. If the show was to return now, it would be interesting to see if the character of Weingard would be met with the same accusations that Weinstein has.

The impact of the Me Too movement can not go unnoticed in Entourage, and there are definite storylines and themes that could be carefully told through the not-so-fictionalised world the show created.

Jonny Dillon hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
