7 Star Trek Actors Who Were Fired

Honorable Mentions

Jadzia Dax
Paramount

Just a quick pitstop here to clear up a few names who feel like they maybe should be on this list but don't quite fit the fired remit.

Terry Farell, who of course played Jadzia Dax in Deep Space Nine, left during Season Six. After approaching the show's producers and asking for a lighter schedule to allow her to pursue some other acting opportunities she was told that wouldn't be possible so instead just decided to leave.

Denise Cosby's time as Tasha Yar came to an abrupt end on The Next Generation when she was killed off after only 22 appearances, but this was her choice as well. Frustrated with her lack of character development and sick of having her ideas shot down, she elected to quit the show.

Finally, her Next Generation colleague Marina Sirtis was nearly fired ahead of Star Trek Nemesis when she had the temerity to ask the studio for parity of pay with some of her male colleagues. Shocked by such an alien concept, she was told if she wouldn't sign on they'd simply replace her with Seven of Nine. Sirtis called their bluff, Jeri Ryan turned it down, and a compromise was eventually reached.
